Nanta urges swift implementation of RM30mil Kapit Bus Terminal project

KAPIT: Works Minister and Kapit MP Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi has called for the swift implementation of the RM30 million Kapit Bus Terminal project at its new site in Jalan Bleteh here.

He made the call during a coordination meeting with government agencies at the Kapit Resident’s Office on Monday (April 7), which also discussed the development of the proposed Katibas Integrated Terminal in Song.

“The project will be equipped with various facilities and feature a modern design,” he said in a Facebook post.

The meeting was also attended by Bukit Goram assemblyman Datuk Jefferson Jamit Unyat, Pelagus assemblyman Wilson Nyabong Ijang, Kapit Resident Elvis Didit, Kapit District officer Cerisologo Sabut, as well as government officials and staff.

In the afternoon, Nanta continued his working visit by inspecting the ongoing interior works of the Hulu Rajang Development Agency (URDA) building.

Later in the day, he witnessed the certificate presentation ceremony for newly appointed and reappointed community leaders and village chiefs in Kapit.

A total of 16 new village chiefs were appointed, while 40 others had their terms extended.

Nanta reminded the community and village leaders of their crucial responsibility in driving Kapit’s development.

“All parties, including leaders, grassroots representatives, and the community as a whole, must work together as one team.

“Only with everyone’s support can every plan to develop Kapit be implemented smoothly,” he stressed.
