KUCHING: Village heads and Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) in the Santubong parliamentary constituency are reminded to submit their applications for allocation as soon as possible.
Its Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said the government requires the application to be submitted before allocation is given, adding that the application is needed for recording purposes.
“You will get the allocation as long as the application is submitted. That is why, I advised those who are responsible in the areas to submit the application as soon as possible so that the process (to get the allocation) is not delayed,” she said.
She said this when attending the Pantai Damai Hari Raya gathering at Bandar Baru Samariang multipurpose hall here today.
Nancy also said that an area could only apply for allocation twice in a year.
“Therefore, when you submit the application, make sure to think carefully on how much your area needs and how many programmes you plan to organise.
“List down your plans and activities that you want to organise until the end of the year. This way, it’ll be easier to allocate the appropriate allocation following the residents in the area and number of activities that will be held.
“Spend the allocation as needed by your area wisely. InsyaAllah we will help and aid with what you need including the physical development in your area,” she added.
During the same ceremony, she also witnessed the donation of food baskets to six asnaf by DBKU mayor Datuk Junaidi Reduan.
