SEBUYAU: The National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) in Kampung Sampat here has been providing significant benefits, especially to students engaged in online learning.
Utility and Telecommunication Minister Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi said that the centre plays a crucial role in bridging the digital gap for rural communities.
“I have been informed that since its launch, the NADI centre has been fully utilised and has provided meaningful benefits, especially for our children who can now engage in online learning,” he said.
He said this during the NADI centre’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) and Ramadan visit programme at Sebuyau Community Hall here today.
He expressed hope that more villagers, including those from surrounding areas, would take advantage of the facilities available at the centre.
The centre, which began operations in September 2024, has benefited over 1,000 registered residents.

The CSR and Ramadan visit programme, organised in collaboration with Telekom Malaysia (TM) and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), was held to provide assistance to underprivileged families in conjunction with Ramadan.
Julaihi commended the initiative, stating that such efforts were timely in addressing the needs of the community, especially those struggling financially during the fasting month.
“I believe that with the assistance provided through initiatives like this, it will, to some extent, help alleviate their burdens and bring joy and meaning to those receiving it, especially in the month of Ramadan,” he said.
He also extended his gratitude to TM, MCMC and all parties involved in making both programmes a success.
