KUCHING: Supt Munsang Sabai is now the acting commandant of the Police Training Centre (Pulapor) Kuching after taking over from SAC Datuk Azman Salim yesterday.

Azman will retire officially on March 4 this year after being in the force for 40 years. He was Pulapor Kuching commanding officer since 2014.

The handing over was witnessed by DCP Datuk Nerita bin Yaacob, Police Deputy Director of Management.

Azman said Pulapor Kuching was able to achieve the objectives, vision and mission of the centre as it has all this while upgraded the training for constable, cadet sergeants and police officers.

Pulapor Kuching, he said, is different from other training centres as it has seven courses which provide different training according to their respective fields of expertise.

The centre is also entrusted by the Sarawak state government to provide non-academic training to Sarawak’s neo-government officials.
