MUKAH: The Mukah Hospital has received medical and non-medical assets worth RM407,465 under the Delivery Hope-Touching More Lives initiative, aimed at enhancing healthcare services for the local community.
The donation, jointly contributed by the Rotary Club of Bintulu Central (RCBC) and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, includes a transport van and critical hospital equipment.
The hospital’s deputy director Dr Ashadatul Amira Musa expressed gratitude for the contribution, noting the increasing need for well-equipped and modern healthcare facilities.
“This will directly improve the quality of services offered, streamline hospital operations, reduce waiting times, and ensure that patients receive faster and more comfortable treatment,” she said during the handover ceremony on Monday (Mar 24).
The event was also attended by Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine.
A representative from the church extended appreciation to all parties involved, particularly Hospital Mukah, for their cooperation throughout the donation process.
“We hope this contribution will help ease the hospital’s burden in providing healthcare services to the people of Mukah,” the representative said.
