KUCHING: Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister
Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah is of the view that Parti Pribumi Bersatu
Malaysia (Bersatu) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is the most appropriate
to helm the post of prime minister.
“He has experience as a deputy prime minister
and he is a veteran in politics. He is humble, soft-spoken, and friendly.
“I am sure he will look after Malaysia
including Sarawak and Sabah well,” he said.
He expressed gratitude that the political impasse
had finally come to an end and that there would be no more political
uncertainty as to who would become the next prime minister.
“Congratulations to Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin,”
he said.
Meanwhile, political secretary to the chief
minister Tan Kai hoped that Muhyiddin would facilitate the payment of the State
Sales Tax (SST) owed by Petronas to Sarawak.
“I also hope he will return autonomy to
Sarawak,” he said.
