BINTULU: Fight fans are once again in for a spectacle, with the Bintulu Amateur Muaythai Challenge (BAMC) Series III International set to light up Naim Paragon this June.
Sarawak Muaythai Association President, Jumaat Ibrahim, said the championship serves as a vital platform to discover and develop new talent in muaythai, particularly in preparation for the upcoming Malaysia Games (SUKMA) 2026.
“Beyond talent discovery, this tournament also aligns with the Sarawak Premier’s vision to elevate the state as a sporting powerhouse on the national stage,” he said.
Jumaat made these remarks during the BAMC III Hari Raya Gathering held here on Saturday.
He added that Sarawak’s triumph as overall champions in muaythai at SUKMA is a clear testament to the immense potential of local athletes to shine at both national and international levels.
The same event last night also featured the official launch of the BAMC Series III poster, symbolising the start of what is expected to be one of the tournament’s most prestigious editions yet.
With participation anticipated from both local and international fighters, this year’s championship is set to further cement Bintulu’s reputation as a growing hub for muaythai development in Sarawak.
Also present at the event was Bintulu Division Muaythai Association Adviser, Daud Mohamed.
