KUALA LUMPUR: The national rugby team successfully defended their title as champions in the Asia Rugby Under-18 Boys Sevens when they defeated China with a 14-10 win in the finals, in Kunming Sunday.

Malaysia had defeated Taiwan 22-7, Hong Kong 21-12, South Korea 28-21, and China 19-14, prior to Sunday’s win, to record a 100 per cent winning ratio just as it did in last year’s championship at Stadium EduCity in Johor, last December. Just one week ago, the national senior squad took the Asia Rugby Sevens Trophy in Jakarta. – Bernama
