KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Haji Johari Tun Abang Haji Openg received a courtesy call from a delegation from Malaysia Rubber Export Promotion Council (MREPC) in his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, here yesterday.
The delegation was led by MREPC chairman, Ahmad Lai Bujang.
During the about an hour meeting, Abang Johari was introduced to members of the council.
He was also given a briefing on the use of modern technolgy and rubber-based products available in the country which can be used in Sarawak such as buildings, roads construction, oil and gas, medical, automotive, security and other rubber-related sectors.
The briefing was conducted by Acting Director General of Malaysia Rubber Board, Datuk Dr Zairossani Mohd Nor, MREPC CEO, Low Yoke Kiew and CEO of Malaysian Consortium Of Rubber Products Sdn Bhd (MALCORP), Nor Iskandar Nordin.
Also present was Chairman of Malaysia Rubber Board, Dato Sri Dr Muhammad Leo Toyad Abdullah.
