MIRI : The Welfare, Health and Community Sub-Committee of Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Miri Branch recently visited two poor families at Tudan Desaras.

During the visit, a committee member of the Sub-Committee, VP Govindasamy delivered a short talk on the dangers of plastics, importance of cleanliness and healthy food to educate the family members.

The visit then continued with a briefing by Roslan Ali from Miri City Council (MCC) on the services provided by the council and the approach for highlighting related issues to the council.

During the visit, the team also brought along stainless steel food containers to be distributed to the two families as part of the exercise to stress on the dangers of plastic containers.

These stainless steel food containers were donated by a group of donors who wished to remain anonymous.
