MRC brings Christmas spirit to Serian Hospital

SERIAN: Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Serian district and MRC SMK (Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan) Serian jointly organised Christmas carols at Serian Hospital recently.

MRC presented 100 Christmas gifts to in-patients, 140 gifts to out-patients and 104 gifts to patients from the Diabetic and Hypertension unit during the event.

The project manager Phang Nyuk Lan expressed her appreciation towards the participating members for their hard work and dedication to the community.

“I would also want to thank their parents for giving moral support to make this activity a success,” she said.

The choir consists of MRC Serian district Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) members and MRC SMK Serian youth.

The group visited 11 hospital units including the Haemodialysis centre (Persatuan Kebajikan Mawar).

Officers in charge of the carolling were Cherilyn Vong, Alexander Mandi, Julia Amid and Simon Mpulop.
