SONG: A motorcyclist lost his life following a collision with a lorry at Jalan Temalat-Song today (Dec 22).
Zone 4 Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) chief Andy Alie said Bomba received a distress call about the incident at 2.16 am and dispatched a team of firefighters to the scene.
“Upon arrival, it was confirmed that a lorry had collided with a motorcycle. The rider was found trapped under the lorry’s wheels,” he said in a statement.
He added that the identity of the victim has yet to be determined.
“The victim’s body was retrieved from under the lorry and it was handed over to the police for further action,” he said.
After ensuring the scene was safe and clearing the debris from the accident, the firefighters returned to the station at 4 am.
