Motorcyclist severely injured in two-vehicle collision

SARIKEI: A motorcyclist nearly lost his right leg following a motorcycle-car collision along Jalan Skim B here on Wednesday (Jan 15).

The Civil Defence Force (APM) said they received an emergency call at 12.17pm and deployed a team to the scene.

Upon arrival, the team found the victim, a man in his 60s, lying on the roadside and quickly administered treatment at the scene.

The victim sustained severe injuries – having nearly lost his right leg and an open wound on his right hand.

He was later rushed to Sarikei Hospital on an APM ambulance for immediate medical treatment.

It was understood that the victim was on his way to a farm and is believed to have exited a junction before colliding with the car.
