MIRI: A man sustained minor injuries after his motorcycle crashed into a dog which was crossing the road at Jalan Lambir, Taman Jelita today.

Civil Defence Force (APM) Miri officer Lt (PA) Mirwan Shah Masri said they received a distressed call around 2.27pm and despatched a four-member team to the scene.

Upon arriving, the team administered first aid to the 30-year-old victim who sustained injuries to his hand and right knee.

“According to the victim, he was riding his motorcycle alone and had hit a dog that was crossing the road.

“The team later assisted the victim into the APM ambulance to be taken to Miri Hospital for further treatment,” he said.

However, there was no information disclosed pertaining to the dog’s condition.

Mirwan stated that the team reported back to the headquarters after sending the victim to the hospital.
