BINTANGOR: A man had his lucky stars to thank for after he escaped serious injuries in an accident.

He was thrown off his motorcycle and landed in a drain following a collision with a car along Jalan Bakong Meradong here today.

According to a statement from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received an emergency call at 7.18 am.

“The accident involved a car traveling from Bintangor towards SJK(c) Min Daik School, which collided with a motorcycle, causing the motorcyclist to be thrown into a drain which was about a metre deep.

“The motorcyclist sustained injuries to his left arm and left leg, while the driver of the vehicle was uninjured,” Bomba said.

The motorcyclist received initial treatment before being handed over to the ambulance team for further care.
