SRI AMAN: A local man died on the spot after his motorcycle skidded off the road and plunged into a ditch along Jalan Kampung Engkeramut yesterday (Mar 8).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Sri Aman station were dispatched to the scene, about 20km away, after receiving a distress call at 4.59 pm.
Upon arrival, the team confirmed the accident and assisted in carrying the unconscious rider to the roadside.
Paramedics confirmed that the rider, identified as 57-year-old Daud Pantau, died at the scene.
His body was handed over to police for transport to the hospital.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the rescue operation ended at 5.35 pm.
