MUKAH: A mother and daughter escaped unhurt in a road accident at Jalan Wawasan here yesterday morning.
The incident took place in front of LIKM housing estate at around 6.40am while the victim was sending her daughter to a school located in the town area when their four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle went out of control and crashed into a tree by the roadside.
It was believed that slippery road surface was the cause of the mishap as it was raining at the time of the accident.
According to the victim, who requested anonymity, she was grateful that she and her daughter were not injured as they were protected by the 4WD’s airbags.
