KOTA KINABALU: Sabah DAP chairman, Datuk Stephen Wong Tien Fatt describes Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal as a far-sighted leader with the interests of people at heart when he insisted on maintaining the present political landscape of Sabah.
Therefore, Wong who is also the State Health and People’s Wellbeing Minister said Sabah DAP supported the stand of Mohd Shafie that Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) did not spread its wings to the state.
“Sabah DAP is happy with the cooperation under the leadership of Mohd Shafie to ensure Sabahans enjoy better livelihood.
“Under his leadership, the Sabah state government is now working towards putting Sabah back on the right track,” he said in a statement here yesterday.
Wong, the MP for Sandakan said Mohd Shafie is a leader who practises moderation and tolerance as well as fostering unity and harmony among the various races in the state.
On that factor, he is also confident Sabah will progress and achieve success under the leadership of Mohd Shafie. – Bernama
