TATAU: An elderly man who had gone missing near Rh Kanyan Kenyarai since Mar 29, has been found safe albeit with injuries to his feet on Tuesday night (Apr 4).

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department said the team met with the family yesterday (Apr 5) at 10.40am and found out that 52-year-old Juong Emok has returned home.

According to the family, the victim was found by a private surveyor who was looking for network coverage and heard the victim’s cry for help from the forest.

The villagers, who were informed of the discovery around 9pm, quickly rushed to the scene and found Juong conscious and safe.

He only had light injuries to the soles of his feet and was taken back to his home around 10pm.

Following that, the family were advised to take the victim to the Tatau health clinic for a medical examination.
