MIRI: Healthy eyes are crucial in students’ learning process, and with the provision of eyeglasses, students who have blurry vision can participate in lessons more effectively and comfortably.
Miri MP, Chiew Choon Man concurred that without good vision, students might face difficulties in reading, writing and understanding the lessons taught.
“Therefore, it is important for us to ensure that all students have access to the necessary vision aids,” he said in a statement after handing over 30 pairs of eyeglasses to students of SK Miri recently.
He hoped that students who received the eyeglasses could learn better and achieve excellent performances.
“I also wish that they will take good care of the eyeglasses provided and use them to the best of their ability to aid them in their learning,” he added.
“We will continue to organise similar initiatives in the future as it is our responsibility to ensure that every student in Miri has an equal opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background.
“We are committed to supporting the education and welfare of students in Miri through various beneficial programmes,” he said..
