MIRI: IANA Corporation Sdn Bhd, a small and midsize enterprise (SME) here, has secured significant export deals for its biscuit products to Qatar, facilitated through an initiative by the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA).

In a statement by FAMA, it said that this accomplishment was possible after the SME’s participation in the Hospitality Qatar 2024 exhibition, showcasing the excellence of Malaysia’s agri-food sector.

“The shipment, featuring five stock-keeping units (SKUs), is set to depart from Port Klang on Dec 26, 2024, and will arrive in Doha, Qatar, on Jan 6, 2025.

“These premium products will be distributed across key outlets in Qatar, including cafes, restaurants, and hospitals, solidifying Malaysia’s presence in the international market.”

With the said SME’s success to enter the global market, FAMA further stated that local SMEs have the potential to expand globally with the right support and resources.

“We have been instrumental in equipping entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and expertise to navigate the export landscape, fostering sustainable growth for Malaysia’s agri-food industry.
