KUCHING: The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) together with all agencies under it are committed to implementing various policies, programmes and initiatives for the benefit of the business community.

Its minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said this is in line with the ministry’s ‘No One Is Left Behind’ policy to make sure that everyone particularly the business community would receive government assistance.

“We feel that it is necessary for us to explain our initiatives as certain communities still don’t understand them. Also, the state of emergency which is aimed at curbing the spread of Covid-19 has nothing to do with politics.

“The government initiatives such as Penjana, Malaysia Prihatin and Pemerkasa need to be clearly explained at all levels,” he said.

He added that his ministry has drafted the Strategic Plan 2021-2025 to be implemented this year to strengthen domestic trade.

“At the same, we will continue to make sure that people know their rights as consumers,” said Nanta.
