DALAT: Minister of Women, Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, visited several flood-affected villages here today.
Among them were Kampung Tanam, Kampung Sungai Ud, Kampung Kekan, and Kampung Medong.
These areas are at high risk of severe flooding if the heavy rainfall continues and coincides with high tides.
Meanwhile, road access in some affected areas, especially those near rivers has been disrupted, making it impassable for small vehicles.
Through this visit, Fatimah, who is also the Dalat assemblywoman, was able to assess the situation of flood victims and the extent of the damage suffered by residents.
As a precaution, villagers are reminded to remain vigilant, especially during the current calamity.
Also present was Dalat Civil Defence Officer, Lieutenant (PA) Muhammad Helmi Halim.
