Minister urges KRT for Madani society

BELAGA: The neighbourhood watch committee (KRT) have been encouraged to promote unity and togetherness among communities based on the pillars of Malaysia Madani.

Minister of National Unity, Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said that one of the main objectives of the programme is to introduce Malaysia Madani to the KRT, aiming to cultivate a society enriched with noble values and a strong family culture.

Additionally, the programme aims to foster a sustainable, prosperous, and creative society.

He said this when launching of the KRT Uma Belor Sg. Asap solidarity programme here recently.

Apart from the KRT Uma Belor, Sungai Asap, two new KRTs were also launched: KRT Kejaman Lasah, Long Segaham and KRT Lebu Kulit, Sungai Asap.

Aaron called for continuous determination and efforts to implement programmes that promote closer and friendlier relations between all communities. He expressed confidence that these efforts, if carried out with full commitment and consistency, will yield positive results.

Also present were the secretary-general of the Ministry of National Unity, Dato’ Indera Noridah Andul Rahim, the director-general of the Department of National Unity and National Integration, Dato’ Che Roslan Che Daud, the District Officer of Belaga, Bidah Lujah, the Director of the State Department of National Unity and National Integration Sarawak, Dirwana Azool, along with community leaders and village heads from the Belaga district.
