KAPIT: Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of his constituents by distributing financial aid to various local organisations and students.
During his recent visit to the area, he provided assistance to 51 clubs and associations in the constituency, facilitating a range of community activities.
In addition to the support for clubs and associations, the local MP also extended financial assistance to 40 local students who have successfully enrolled in higher education institutions.
“May this assistance bring benefits to all recipients.
“To the students, study diligently so that you can contribute back to our beloved Kapit,” he said in a Facebook post.
Despite his demanding responsibilities at the ministry, Nanta assured that he stays connected with the needs of the local population through his effective team on the ground, led by his political secretary Ambrose Abong.
“They are the ones who have greatly helped me to be the eyes and ears in reaching out to the needy population.
“That is our duty here. To ensure the welfare of the local residents is taken care of,” he added.
