KANOWIT: Minister of National Unity Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang has pledged to continue monitoring the flood situation here.

“We will do our very best to ensure that aid reaches every individual in need.

“All efforts will continue to support the recovery of the affected areas,” he said in a Facebook post yesterday (March 24).

The Kanowit MP was also seen on the ground visiting areas severely affected by the floods.

“I also had the opportunity to distribute aid to flood victims in the hope of easing their burden during this difficult time,” he added.

As of 12 pm yesterday (Mar 24), a total of 185 flood victims have been evacuated to Dewan Kompleks Sukan Kanowit PPS (temporary relief centre). However, the number of evacuees has been gradually decreasing as floodwaters recede.
