KUCHING: Mia Ghazali, a rising 13-year-old star, stole the show on the opening day of the Rentap Fighting Championship (RFC) 2025.

Representing Rentap Muay Thai, Mia squared off against Sarah Onca from the Panthera Fight Team, entertaining the crowd with her skill, discipline, and determination in the 42kg, Bout 4 category.

Known for her rigorous training regime, Mia is dedicated to her craft, pushing herself with daily 12 km runs to refine her mastery of the art of the eight limbs.

“Thank you all so much for coming and supporting this event. I’m so grateful,” she shared, soaking in the energy from the crowd.

While she’s not looking ahead to her next competition just yet, Mia dreams big.

“Maybe one day, I’ll take my fight to the international stage,” she told Sarawak Tribune after her victory.

Mia noted that she is keeping her focus on steady progress.

“I feel like the pressure is off. I feel amazing,” Mia added, exuding confidence after a fierce battle in the ring.

With her grounded attitude and relentless pursuit of excellence, this young Muay Thai warrior from Sarawak is a force to be reckoned with, and fans can’t wait to see where her journey takes her next.

For the record, Mia is the youngest sibling of Johan Ghazali, a fighter in ONE Championship.

Held at Stadium Perpaduan yesterday (Jan 17). The championship is set to continue until today.
