KUCHING: The state government has received a total of RM100,000 in disaster relief contribution from MBSB Bank Berhad, reinforcing support for the state’s disaster preparedness and recovery efforts.
The Sarawak Disaster Relief 2025 cheque handover ceremony was held on Wednesday, with MBSB group chairman, Datuk Wan Kamaruzaman Wan Ahmad, presenting the donation to deputy State Secretary of Sarawak (Economic Planning and Development), Datuk Seri Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel.
Earlier, the bank’s top management also met with Abdullah during a courtesy visit to discuss Sarawak’s economic development, with a focus on renewable energy and sustainable growth.
Also present were permanent secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Datuk Abang Ahmad Abang Morni, and director of the Sarawak Economic Planning Unit, Datuk Lester Matthew.
