KUCHING: Weak administration is the main reason Pakatan Harapan (PH) lost in the Semenyih by-election on Saturday, said Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar James Jemut Masing (pic).
According to him, since PH was elected by the people in the 14th General Elections (GE14) to govern the country, it should have used the trust given well.
However, Masing said the opposite happened when it continued to blame the previous Barisan Nasional (BN) government to hide its (PH) failure in fulfilling promises to the people.
“I’m not surprised PH lost in Semenyih because of a poor track record. PH failed to fulfill its manifesto and lied to the people to get votes.
“It is still blaming the previous government for failing to fulfill what had been promised while it is supposed to govern the country to progress further,” he said.
Masing, who is also Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) president, added after eight months of ruling, PH still had not brought any progress in the country compared to what BN had done before.
“It (PH) has not done anything. Instead, its leaders fought each other for positions in the administration of the country,” Masing pointed out.
Hence, he insisted that PH ministers should stop blaming each other for its failure to govern the country.
“Stop criticising and become a practical implementer to the people. Use the brain to work instead of the mouth all the time,” Masing said.
