PADAWAN: Marcellinus Meran is retained unopposed as the president of the Padawan Adventure 4×4 Club in the recent election of the club’s committee members for 2023-2024 term.

Also retaining his position as vice president without contesting is Aloysious Kuyong, while Sanjan Daik remains as the club’s secretary and is assisted by Kencha Dewok.

Sebastian Sakoi also retained his position as treasurer, and Peter Leif Mart as assistant treasurer.

Other elected committee members are Pisley@Roy Neslin, Wary Sedek, Andre Ray Sanjan and Ramses Tawang.

Meanwhile Hansel Marcellinus and Rowland Gerijih have been appointed the club’s auditors.

Puncak Borneo Member of Parliament Datuk Willie Mongin remains as patron, while Jimson Jium remains as advisor to the club.

Those appointed to the sub-committee are Pisley, Remos Jepos, Nepa Sengus, Henry Sokep and Henry Betah (charity/event), Sanjan (discipline), Noel Samuel and Halix Kuyong (finance), Hansel, Andre Ray Sanjan, Rano Joseph  Ranges, Lenon Boniface, Charles Leymond and Melvino Roy (rescue team) and Robert Kenneth (publicity).

Marcellinus said the club was established in 2016 and has held many activities for its members, in addition to welfare and social activities such as donations to fire and flood victims as well as providing transport services to deliver food supplies to communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This year the club in its recent annual meeting had listed several activities to be held throughout the year such as monthly activities at our temporary 4×4 track located in Skunduk, Kampung Semadang, Penrissen, participating in a 4×4 expedition in Kapit, a family day at  Pantu and celebration of the club’s seventh anniversary,” he said.

Padawan Adventure 4×4 Club Kuching was officially registered with the Malaysian Sports Commissioner on June 17, 2016.

The objective of the Club is to embark on club activities such as family day and off-roading, to build drivers confidence, expertise and further improve on and off road skills.
