PADAWAN: A local man was found murdered in his apartment at Jalan Sungai Tapang early yesterday morning (Dec 1).
Padawan police chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi said police were alerted to the incident at 4.40 am.
“A team from the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) was promptly dispatched to the scene.
“Upon arrival, the 22-year-old victim was found motionless in a room with multiple slash wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
“Police have since arrested three suspects in connection with the case and they will be remanded for further investigation,” he said in a statement.
Efforts are ongoing to locate other suspects believed to be involved in the incident.
Mohd Irwan said the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Yesterday, social media was abuzz as pictures and videos of the gruesome crime scene went viral.
CCTV footage reportedly captured a group of armed men forcing their way into the apartment block, bypassing security and cutting through a wire mesh door.
A car believed to belong to the victim was also found vandalised.
