MIRI: A man in his late 20’s, who stopped his car to avoid hitting a motorbike, was robbed by several unknown men riding on motorcycles along the Jalan Pantai at wee hours yesterday. Fortunately the victim was left unharmed. The suspects reportedly fled off the scene after robbing the victim of cash amounting to RM2,000.
Prior to the incident, the victim was on his way back to Tudan. According to sources, upon reaching the scene, at around 2am, the victim spotted a motorcycle being placed in the middle of the road, thereby blocking his way. As he could not pass through the road resulting from it being blocked by the motorcycle, the victim pulled over his car.
That was the moment when the suspects came using motorcycles and robbed him. Fearing for his safety, the victim complied with the suspects’ demand for valuables and cash. After the incident, the victim immediately lodged a police report.
