ASAJAYA: Police have arrested a local man for allegedly stealing a motorcycle from a shopping mall last Friday.
Acting on information, the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) carried out ‘Ops Lejang’ and apprehended a 40-year-old man at a house in Sadong Jaya.
Kota Samarahan police chief DSP Jaimi Husin said they also seized the stolen Yamaha Ego Solariz motorcycle, a wire cutter and a screwdriver from the man.
The suspect and the seizures were taken to the district police headquarters (IPD) for further action under Section 379A of the Penal Code.
He added that the suspect will be remanded until Jan 29 for further investigation to identify his involvement in other cases.
