LAWAS: A 28-year old man died on the spot after his vehicle crashed into a tree along the road divider at Kampung Temangis Lawas, here.
The victim identified as Ezra Labo David, 28, was a sole occupant of a Toyota Prado when it veered off the road and hit the tree.
The Fire and Rescue operations centre (Bomba) received an emergency call at 3.20am this morning pertaining to the accident.
A team of eight firemen from Lawas fire station were immediately dispatched to the scene to conduct rescue works.
Upon arrival, they found that the driver was still inside the car and proceeded to extract him from the vehicle using rescue tools.
The victim was handed over to the paramedics who later confirmed that he had died at the scene.
The victim’s body was then handed over to the police for further action.
