KUCHING: A 35-year-old man who was thrown out from his car after crashing into a street lamp post at Mile 21, Jalan Kuching-Serian, succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment last night (May 13).
Sarawak Traffic Police chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the accident happened around 8 pm when the victim, Hamilton Guwing, was travelling towards Serian.
“The victim is said to have lost control and crashed into a lamp post in the middle of the road divider.
“The impact of the crash caused the victim to be thrown out from his car and land on the right side of the road,” he said.
Paramedics from Serian Hospital brought the victim to the hospital for treatment.
However, the victim succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at 11.03 pm. The cause of death is a cardiopulmonary arrest, according to hospital sources.
