SIBU: A local man died from injuries after his car is believed to have skidded and crashed into a tree along Jalan Paradom this morning (Nov 7).
A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Sibu central station were despatched to the scene after receiving a distress call around 7.40am.
The team at the scene confirmed the accident and found that the driver was unconscious in his seat.
Extrication works followed suit and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The body was then handed over to the police to be taken to the hospital for further action.
It was also reported that the crash had caused severe damage to the front of the vehicle.
