KUCHING: A local man suspected of possessing a stolen motorcycle was arrested by police on Sunday morning.
A police team was conducting crime prevention patrol in Demak Laut area when they spotted a man sitting on a motorcycle near a flat at around 2.00am.
Upon checking the motorcycle, the police found that the machine was reported missing in September 2015.
The 25-year-old man from Taman Jaya, Demak Laut, Bako, was then taken to a police station for questioning.
Kuching Police District chief, ACP Abang Ahmad Abang Julai confirmed the case and said police were still investigating if the suspect was involved other theft cases.
