KUCHING: The Malam Irama Uniti concert, held in conjunction with the National Unity Week celebration at Kuching Waterfront on Sunday, saw an impressive turnout of approximately 800 visitors, adding vibrancy to the event.
The concert featured captivating performances by esteemed local artists, including Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, Stacy, Jaclyn Victor, Alvin Chong, Rickie Andrewson, and Johari Genrai.

Gracing the occasion as the guest of honour were Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang and chief secretary of the Ministry of National Unity Datuk Indera Noridah Abdul Rahim.
The Sarawak National Department of Culture and Arts (JKNS) delighted the audience with mesmerizing dance performances.
Khairul Izwan Zainal, the floor manager, acknowledged the overwhelming response from the visitors.

“Alhamdulillah, we see that the concert is very lively and full of visitors. We estimate that there are around 700 to 800 people in attendance. We want the visitors to be entertained throughout the night, and this is the best event we have at the moment,” he said.
New Sarawak Tribune also had the opportunity to speak with some of the attendees, who shared their thoughts on the event.

A visitor from Johor, Fauzan Afiq Shahruddin, said that the event provided him with a valuable opportunity to learn about the diverse ethnic groups in Sarawak.

Meanwhile Ranny Chai appreciated the performances that showcased the cultural richness of various ethnicities across Malaysia. She hoped for similar events in the future.
Nur Dzulfiqar Haziq Nurzainudin highlighted the program’s potential to strengthen the bonds among different ethnic groups.
