BINTULU: This district has undergone significant transformation across various sectors since 1979, with a distinct focus on industrial development.
Deputy Port Development Minister Datuk Majang Renggi said the Samalaju region, in particular, has evolved into a key industrial hub in central Sarawak.
“All of this is the result of the wise leadership of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government, which is consistently committed to advancing the industrial sector in the state, especially in the Samalaju area, which is the heart of Sarawak’s industrial activity,” he said.
He said this when officiating at the drain and clean water supply project of Rumah Sibat at Batu 29, Jalan Bintulu-Miri yesterday (Sept 2).
As the Samalaju area continues to grow industrially, the Samalaju assemblyman underscored the importance of parents ensuring their children have access to quality education to prepare them for future job market competition.
He further elaborated on the paramount significance of education, emphasising that education alone can guarantee individuals a better life.
In other developments, Majang stated that the Sarawak government will continue to assert all state rights in accordance with the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
He urged the people of Sarawak to offer full support to the state government’s leadership to ensure that all relevant demands are met, ultimately benefiting and prospering the entire state.
Present at the event were Majang’s wife Datin Evelyn Engsanggai Hassan, Penghulu Chabi Nangup, Penghulu Man Embak, Penghulu Isa Menggong, and the head of Rumah Sibat.
