KUCHING: In conjunction with celebrating Gawai Dayak and its 12th consecutive year in Sarawak, Magnum Cares continues to spread its goodwill and heartiest wishes to the Dayak communities regarding their upcoming festival on June 1.

In making this year’s celebration to be filled with happiness, safety and blissfulness, they have reached out to various Dayak settlements in Kuching, Miri, Bintulu and Sibu, providing food necessities to 405 families from nine Dayak settlements as well as donations to 12 charitable homes throughout the region.

The contribution worth RM 65,000 of festive gift packs and cheque donations will be delivered to the villages and deserving organisations in the four regions of Sarawak in a safe and well-regulated manner, it also stated.

It is also hoped that the donations would be able to support costs of operations, food supplies, medical items and even disinfection of welfare homes as well.

As the country is in the transition of entering endemic phase, it will continue to assist the communities as stories of many Malaysians continuing to struggles continue to be highlighted due to the pandemic, said its Group chief commercial officer Datuk Chan Chee Fai.
