KUCHING: A lucky shopper Chiong Han Kee has won CityOne ‘Spend and Win’ campaign grand prize of a RM450,000 luxurious apartment.

He wins a Royal Richmond Gold 2-bedrooms apartment sponsored by Kenbest Group of Companies.

Chiong, who was absent during the grand prize draw yesterday, was informed of his win by Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian via phone call after he officiated at the draw to pick the lucky winners.

Also present at the event were Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng and Kenbest Group of Companies managing director Stephen Long Tine Chung.

Dr Sim commended the Kenbest Group of Companies for sponsoring the apartment in the lucky draw. He noted that many among the younger generation in the state were facing problems in owning a house.

“Owning a house is a dream of every Sarawakian but, that dream is hard to achieve.”

Dr Sim pointed out that the state government had started two major housing programmes — Sri Pertiwi and Spektra Permata houses targeting the M40 and B40 groups.
