ENGKILILI: The communities here have been advised to find other ways of generating income.

According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report, Lubok Antu MP Roy Angau Gingkoi said he was drawing up plans to improving their livelihoods through agriculture.

He also requested the cooperation of residents to hold a discussion to find out the appropriate type of agriculture to be implemented in the Batang Ai area commercially.

On another note, Roy approved Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants amounting to RM20,000 to the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) and RM8,000 to Rumah Kujat, Ijok Women’s Bureau.
