KUCHING Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Youth secretary-general Milton Foo lauded the Chief Minister’s announcement to revive the Kuching LRT Phase 1 project.
It will be an alternative public transportation mode to ease the congestion on the Kuching-Samarahan expressway.
Foo pointed out that commuters were frustrated daily when using this particular road as the jam was not only during peak hours but normal hours as well, starting from 6.30am until 10pm.
“I attended a Unimas function last month, and I received a lot of complaints regarding the traffic flow between Kuching and Samarahan. This further corroborates their claims,” he said.
Foo thanked the GPS government for making a right and bold move to build the LRT to benefit the public despite many mega projects in Sarawak being withdrawn by the federal government.
