Firemen from Lopeng fire station are seen dousing the blaze.

MIRI: A lorry tyre burst into flames on Tuesday evening along the Jalan Lambir here.

Fortunately, the driver of the lorry laden with Acetyline gas tanks was unharmed.

A team of Lopeng fire station led by Nasir Razali immediately mobilised to the location after responded to an alert at 6.32pm.

The incident occurred nearby a water treatment plant in Lambir here.

The lorry was on its way to Miri from Bakong.

According to Miri fire zone 6 chief Supt Law Poh Kiong, the operation ended at 7.28pm.
