SIBU: Longhouse folk in Bawang Assan constituency have been urged to support Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) in the 12th State Election (PRN12).

Dewan Negara Senator Robert Lau Hui Yew said GPS had planned many development projects for the people, especially in the rural areas.

“Only GPS is capable of implementing the infrastructure development, meeting your basic needs, etc.

“Your support is very important to ensure that these projects can be carried out as planned,” he said.

Lau made the call during his visits to two longhouses in Sungai Apong on Sunday (Oct 4).

Lau, who is also the chairman of SUPP Bawang Assan Branch, added, “GPS cares for the people’s welfare not only in terms of the development but from all angles and aspects.

“GPS is sincere in helping the people.”

During his visit, Lau and his entourage also reviewed longhouse projects implemented by the government.

He distributed forms for the longhouse loan scheme for the people to upgrade their houses and distributed GPS flags to them, too.
