KUCHING: Lanbase were in top form as they swept past PV in straight sets to claim the crown at the 2025 Volleyball Friendly Invitational.

The girls in blue set the tone early, edging a spirited PV side 25-21 in the opening set with sharp plays and solid teamwork.

PV, dressed in pink, fought back in the second set, but Lanbase kept their cool, shutting the door with a 25-18 finish to seal a 2-0 victory.

It was a commanding performance that cemented Lanbase’s status as the standout team of the tournament.

SMK Lundu battled their way to third place, while PJVC took fourth after a thrilling weekend packed with spikes, serves, and rallies.

All participating teams walked away with trophies, certificates, and other exciting prizes.

Hosted by Chung Hua Middle School No. 3, the three-day tournament (April 3-5) brought together six schools in a showcase of young volleyball talent.

Rounding out the lineup were CHMS No. 3 and SMK Kuching High, both showing heart and hustle throughout the competition.
