MIRI: The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Lambir branch convened its triennial general meeting (TGM) on Sunday, tabling and endorsing four key resolutions aimed at strengthening the party’s leadership and advocating for Sarawak’s rights.

The resolutions were announced by PBB Lambir chairman, Datuk Dr Ripin Lamat, during the event, which was officiated by PBB vice-president Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.

Underscoring the party’s unwavering commitment to Sarawak’s autonomy and heritage, Dr Ripin stated, “We remain resolute in defending the rights of Sarawak as enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), the Inter-Governmental Committee (IGC) Report, and the Federal and Sarawak Constitutions. As grassroots leaders, we fully support our Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, and the leadership of PBB in championing the aspirations of Sarawakians.”

Uncontested leadership – To retain the position of PBB president held by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg without contest.

  1. Stability among deputies – To maintain the roles of both PBB deputy presidents, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
