Kuching Water Board schedules water disruption on Jan 10

KUCHING: The Kuching Water Board (KWB) is set to carry out a scheduled water disruption beginning on Jan 10 at 9pm.

According to a water disruption notice from the Kuching Water Board (KWB), the water utility company will be repairing a 600 mm main pipe leak at Jalan Canna, Kuching, and is estimated to be completed on Jan 11 at 5am.

The affected areas include Jalan Canna, Jalan Keranji, Jalan Bayor Bukit, Jalan Urat Mata, Jalan Wan Alwi, Jalan Song, Jalan Muara Tabuan, Jalan Setia Raja, Jalan Kedandi, Jalan Stutong Jaya, Jalan Usahajaya, Tabuan Tranquility, The Northbank, Stutong Indah, Emart Tabuan Jaya, Premier Food Republic, TT3 Food Court, Kompleks Polis Tabuan Jaya, Kastam Tabuan Jaya, Stutong Market, Stutong Commercial Centre, Tabuan Desa, Tabuan Dusun, Tabuan Laru, Taman Rimba, Taman Rimba Samajaya, Taman Riveria, Taman Tiya Vista, La Promenade, Binyuk Lot, and the surrounding areas.

During the disruption, affected areas may experience low water pressure, no water supply or dirty water.

Water tankers will be deployed to all affected locations; however, consumers are advised to prepare for the disruption by storing an adequate supply of water for their needs. 

However, during the recovery period, consumers will experience low water pressure, air locks and dirty water.
