KUCHING: Embracing the spirit of Ramadan, Kuching City FC players distributed 800 containers of ‘bubur asyura’, a traditional porridge, to the public at Kubah Ria, fostering goodwill and community spirit during the holy month.

The ‘bubur asyura’ distribution event not only strengthened community ties but also showcased the club’s commitment to giving back during Ramadan.

In a Facebook post by Datuk Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, the initiative was part of the ‘Jerayawara Bubur Asyura’ event, organised by the SABERKAS Tupong Branch in collaboration with Pemuda PBB N6 Tupong, Belia PBB N6 Tupong, and Kuching City FC.

Also present at the event was Kuching City FC chief executive officer (CEO), Iswandi Ali Hassan.

In conjunction with the celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, the Kuching City squad are currently on a six-day break and will resume training on April 4.

The Cats are set to host the Southern Tigers, Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), at home on April 17 in a 2024 Super League match.
