KUCHING: The highly anticipated Kuching Car Free Morning is set to make a vibrant comeback this Sunday (Jan 5) at Padang Merdeka.
Organised by the Kuching North City Hall (DBKU), the event promises an exciting day filled with activities such as aerobics, dancing, jogging, cycling, and other recreational pursuits.
According to a Facebook post by DBKU, the initiative — which has been well-received in the past — aims to reduce carbon emissions, ease traffic congestion, and encourage a healthy, active, and environmentally friendly lifestyle.
“The event also aims to raise awareness about the importance of environmental sustainability and provide a social and recreational space for city dwellers,” it said.
DBKU called on residents to bring along their families, friends, and community members to participate in the January edition of the programme.
It also expressed gratitude to the people of Kuching for their continued support in championing the goals of Kuching Car Free Morning.
“Happy New Year to all city residents. Let’s come together and make this event a success!” the organiser said.
